About Us

Interfaith Hospitality Network of Augusta, Inc. is a nonprofit organization (501C3) founded in 1997 and opened its doors to homeless families in the Augusta area in February 1998.   The community opened its arms and welcomed IHN of Augusta with overwhelming support from grants, foundations, corporations, individuals, as well as twenty-three wonderful host congregations and four support congregations. IHN of Augusta is a program dedicated to helping homeless families. Unfortunately, about one in every four homeless people is a child.   The National Interfaith Network began over twenty years ago and has now inspired the opening of over 134 network programs across the nation, involving over 700 congregations and more than 50,000 volunteers.   IHN of Augusta is geared specifically to help people find employment and the skills they need stay in a stable home environment. We put over 30,000 members from 24 congregations, who have the means to help, in touch with people who need their help in a loving and caring way.   If you have any questions about how we use the information provided to us, please contact us or ask to see our privacy policy.   Mission Statement The mission of Interfaith Hospitality Network of Augusta Inc. is to mobilize communities to help low income families achieve and sustain independence.
