Interfaith Brings Independence

Interfaith Brings Independence and Safety to a Grateful Family

I came to Augusta to escape a situation that was no longer safe for me and my children. New friends introduced me to the Interfaith program. Without the help of Interfaith I literally don’t know where my family and I would be today.

Interfaith was able to take care of our basic needs by providing food and shelter through the volunteerism of several churches within its communities. Volunteers were with us to assist us with our needs and any surprises that may arise when caring for children. We never had to worry about transportation. Between our regular driver and the volunteers all participants were able to make any appointments necessary. One of the most important aspects of Interfaith for me was the child care. I knew that while I was aggressively pursuing employment, my children were in a safe, professional, environment that fostered care and learning. The knowledgeable staff of Interfaith helped keep me focused and safe through a difficult situation.

Without this program I would not be where I am today. I am employed, I can provide my own transportation, my children and I have our own apartment, and I am independent.
