We are committed to helping low-income families in Augusta and the surrounding area to achieve lasting independence. We do this by providing safe shelter, meals, and support services for homeless families and with programs designed to redress the underlying causes of homelessness.
Augusta, Georgia has a severe homeless problem that must be addressed. In 2003, over 5100 homeless people were served in our city. It is estimated that another 10,000 people are moving or hidden homeless. These people need our help, and we will continue to be there for them.
